Player Guide

Almost everything runs through two in-game menus: /xp for your personal level and perks, and /faction for your crew. Every command here is just the typed version of a button in those menus.

Two different "XP" bars exist. Don't mix them up. Account XP is your personal level (Part 1). Faction Level is your group's shared level (Part 2). Holding faction territory grants a little of both, but they're separate bars.
1. Account XP & Perks

Your personal progression, separate from any faction. Gain XP just by playing, level up from 1 to 50, earn skill points for perks, and at level 50 Prestige for a permanent badge that floats over your head. Open it with /xp (also /level or /perks). The panel has Statistics, Perks and Boosts.

1.1 How You Earn XP
SourceXP
Playing (time online)10 XP / minute (AFK earns nothing)
Collecting your money printers1 XP per $10,000 withdrawn
Killing another player1 XP per kill (repeat kills on the same player don't stack; team-kills don't count)
Capturing a territory point50 XP to each member inside
Catching a fish5 XP per fish reeled in

Casino gambling gives no XP. Levels get progressively longer: XP for the next level is 500 + (level - 1) × 250.

1.2 XP Boosters
  1. 1.2.1A booster doubles (2x) every XP source while it's active: playtime, printers, kills, captures and fishing.
  2. 1.2.2Open /xp and go to the Boosts tab to see your active boost and any unredeemed tokens. Hit Redeem on a token to start your 2x window.
  3. 1.2.3Redeeming while a boost is already running adds the time on top, so a token is never wasted.
  4. 1.2.4Tokens come in 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hour lengths. Staff hand them out, and you can buy some in the rewards shop below.
  5. 1.2.5New players get a free 24-hour boost. Anyone under 8 hours of playtime is granted one automatically the first time they log in.
  6. 1.2.6Server-wide boost events: staff can switch on 2x XP for everyone. A purple banner in the Boosts tab shows the time left, and it stacks with your personal booster (2x each, 4x combined).
  7. 1.2.7Server boost tokens: staff also hand out special tokens that let you trigger a server-wide 2x boost. Redeem one from the Boosts tab (it asks you to confirm) and the whole server gets doubled XP with your name on the announcement.

Rewards shop. Open /rewards (also /reward) and pick the Shop tab. Everything here is paid from your bank, not your wallet, and each line has its own daily limit.

ItemCostDaily limit
2 hour XP booster$80,0003 per day
4 hour XP booster$150,0002 per day
12 hour XP booster$400,0001 per day
XP Level$400,0002 per day
Faction upgrade point$750,0001 per faction per day

Free rewards. The Tasks tab of /rewards pays $50,000 each for joining the Discord and the Steam group (one-off), plus a 12 hour booster every month you're boosting the Discord, resetting on the 1st. Link your Steam in Discord with /linksteam first, then hit Verify.

1.3 Skill Points & Perks
  1. 1.3.1Every level-up grants 1 skill point. You choose what to invest in, so you don't get everything automatically.
  2. 1.3.2Each perk tier is locked behind a level and costs points. There are 22 perks; maxing everything would cost 157 points, but leveling 1 to 50 only earns 49. You can afford about a third of the tree, so pick a lane (money, killing, or staying alive) and go deep, or spread thin on cheap Tier I's.
  3. 1.3.3Tiers replace each other, they don't stack. Tier II is the new value, not an addition to Tier I. Each cell below shows level gate · point cost · effect.
  4. 1.3.4Respec: the ♻ button refunds all your points so you can rebuild. It costs 1% of your bank balance (VIP: half price, VIP+: free).
  5. 1.3.5Prestiging resets your perks. You re-earn and re-spend as you climb again.

1.4 Prestige
  1. 1.4.1At level 50, the Prestige button appears at the bottom of the Perks tab. It costs $1,500,000 from your wallet (VIP: $1,350,000, VIP+: $1,200,000).
  2. 1.4.2Prestiging resets you to level 1 and wipes your perk tree for a fresh climb.
  3. 1.4.3You get the next Prestige badge that floats over your head in-world and shows in chat and on the leaderboard.
  4. 1.4.4Every prestige adds a permanent +2% XP that stacks each time. This is the long-term reward.
  5. 1.4.5You can prestige up to 11 times (Prestige I through XI). Hover the ? next to the button to see all rank icons.
  6. 1.4.6There's a Yes / No confirmation, then clicking No plays a little "chicken out" sound.
1.5 Account XP Commands
  • /xpOpen the XP panel (also /level, /perks).
  • /xp buyperk <perk>Buy the next tier of a perk. Money: pocket, printer, recycle, stipend, investor, compound, lucky, homefield. XP: xp, learner. Killing: bounty, biggame, scavenger, secondwind, adrenaline. Survival: health, armor, regen, laststand, footing, walk, run.
  • /xp respecRefund all spent skill points. Costs 1% of your bank (VIP: half, VIP+: free).
  • /xp prestigePrestige (level 50 + $1,500,000 required; discounted for VIP/VIP+).
  • /rewardsOpen the rewards panel (also /reward): Shop for boosters, XP levels and faction points, Tasks for free Discord and Steam group payouts.
2. Factions: Getting Started

A faction is a player group that shares money, gear, territory, and levels up together. Hold control points, fight rivals in wars, run a shared bank and money printer, and spend the faction's points on an upgrade tree. Open everything with /faction (or /f).

2.1 Creating or Joining
  1. 2.1.1Make one: /faction create <TAG> <name> costs $25,000 (VIP: $12,500, VIP+: $7,000). New factions are invite-only by default and start with 5 member slots (upgrades add more).
  2. 2.1.2Or join one: /faction apply <faction> for open factions, or /faction accept an invite.
  3. 2.1.3Heads up: leaving has a 15-minute cooldown before you can join another faction (VIP: about 7.5 min, VIP+: about 3.75 min). Pick your crew and stick with them.
  4. 2.1.4Leaving, disbanding, and transferring ownership each pop a confirmation window so you can't do them by accident.
  5. 2.1.5Disbanding is boss-only and puts a 120-hour cooldown (5 days) on creating your next faction. VIP halves it, VIP+ quarters it.
2.2 Ranks
  1. 2.2.1Factions have an owner, officers, members, and any custom ranks the owner sets up.
  2. 2.2.2Each rank has permissions controlling who can invite, kick, spend the bank, claim territory, and more.
  3. 2.2.3Owners manage ranks in the menu; /faction promote and /faction demote move members between them.
2.3 Membership Commands
  • /factionOpen the faction menu (also /f).
  • /faction create <TAG> <name>Start your own faction. Costs $25,000 (VIP $12,500, VIP+ $7,000).
  • /faction apply <faction>Apply to a faction open to applications.
  • /faction accept · /faction declineAccept or decline an invite.
  • /faction leaveLeave your faction (15-min cooldown before rejoining; shorter for VIP/VIP+).
  • /faction invite <player>Invite someone to join.
  • /faction kick <name>Remove a member.
  • /faction promote <name> · /faction demote <name>Move a member up or down a rank.
  • /faction open <1|0>Turn applications on or off.
  • /faction approve <steamID> · /faction deny <steamID>Accept or reject an applicant.
  • /faction rename <new name>Rename the faction (costs $50,000 from the bank).
  • /faction retag <TAG>Change the faction's tag (same cost as rename, must be unique).
  • /faction transfer <steamID>Hand ownership to another member.
3. Factions: Territory & War

The heart of factions: fight to control points on the map for income and XP.

3.1 Capturing & Holding
  1. 3.1.1Every point is taken by capturing it, neutral ones included: stand in the circle and hold until the bar fills. There is no instant claim. You can hold up to your territory cap (starts at 3 points, raised by upgrades).
  2. 3.1.2To take an enemy point you must first declare war: /faction war <faction>. End it with /faction peace <faction>.
  3. 3.1.3Capturing means holding the circle. A solo capture takes about 60 seconds and gets faster with more members inside (up to 2× speed). Step out and the progress drains about 4× as fast.
  4. 3.1.4After a point flips it's locked for 5 minutes (nobody can capture it), then a 60-second grace lets the new owners retake at full speed while attackers are slowed to 40%. No instant trade-backs.
  5. 3.1.5Holding pays. Each point deposits $200 into the bank every 2 minutes, plus faction XP. Members standing inside on a capture also earn 50 account XP.
  6. 3.1.6Defending pays too. Retaking a point an enemy captured from you gives $5,000 for every minute they held it.
  7. 3.1.7Set your home base with /faction hq (first placement free, moving it later has a 30-minute cooldown). Check any point with /faction zone.
3.2 The Law & Your Turf

Police, government and mayor jobs play by different rules.

  1. 3.2.1A cop standing on your point seizes it, no war needed. The point goes neutral (nobody gets it) and locks for 10 minutes. Seized points show SEIZED in police blue on the marker and HUD with a live countdown.
  2. 3.2.2Server rule: police must provide a law before they start seizing capture points from factions (rule 8.6 on the rules page).
  3. 3.2.3Every seizure pays a small cut of your point's assets ($2,000) into the city treasury.
  4. 3.2.4Faction members can take police or government jobs without being kicked, but while on the job they earn the faction nothing: no capture credit, no HQ or kill XP, and they can't defend a point as its owner. Take the badge off to fight for your crew again.
  5. 3.2.5Locked points (capture cooldown or a seizure) show a live countdown on the in-world marker, the control-point HUD (/faction hud) and the Territory tab.
  6. 3.2.6Officers can't bring handcuffs into a capture zone: they're stowed automatically on entering and handed back on leaving. A contested point is a firefight, not an arrest.
  7. 3.2.7Staff can also lock a point out of play (indefinitely or for a set time) or neutralize it outright. A locked point shows as SEIZED and can't be captured or contested by anyone.
4. Factions: Money & Gear

Factions share a bank (cash) and a vault (weapons), and can run a money printer.

4.1 Bank & Payouts
  1. 4.1.1Deposit / withdraw with /faction deposit and /faction withdraw. Deposits come from your bank only, carried cash isn't accepted, so run it through an ATM first. The $200,000 per member per day withdraw cap is soft: going past it works, but the overage is taxed 25%.
  2. 4.1.2Two upgrade branches work the system: Deep Pockets raises the untaxed cap (up to $500,000/day) and Money Laundering cuts the tax (down to 5%).
  3. 4.1.3Pay a member from the bank with /faction pay <steamID> <amount>.
  4. 4.1.4Owners can set /faction payout <percent> (5–25%) to auto-share a slice of every territory income tick. 0 turns it off.
4.2 Printer & Vault
  1. 4.2.1/faction printerbuy installs the faction money printer for $50,000. It prints $150/min at level 1 into its own storage.
  2. 4.2.2/faction printercollect banks its cash. It stalls once $8,000 is stored (more with capacity levels), so collect often.
  3. 4.2.3/faction printerupgrade <speed|capacity> upgrades it: speed adds +$70/min per level, capacity adds +$6,000 per level. First upgrade costs $59,180, price grows ×1.7 per level, max level 10.
  4. 4.2.4Store your held weapon with /faction deposititem; take one back with /faction withdrawitem <id>.
4.3 Money & Gear Commands
  • /faction deposit <amount> · /faction withdraw <amount>The shared bank. Deposits come from your bank, not carried cash. $200k/day untaxed per member, 25% tax on the overage.
  • /faction pay <steamID> <amount>Pay a member from the bank.
  • /faction payout <percent>Auto-share 5–25% of territory income. 0 = off.
  • /faction printerbuy · /faction printercollectInstall ($50,000) and collect the money printer.
  • /faction printerupgrade <speed|capacity>Upgrade the printer.
  • /faction deposititem · /faction withdrawitem <id>Store / retrieve weapons in the vault.
5. Factions: Leveling & Upgrades
  1. 5.1Your faction levels up like a player: each level needs 500 + 250 × (level - 1) XP and grants 2 upgrade points.
  2. 5.2Faction XP sources: 10 per capture, 1 per held point every 2 minutes, 1 per member inside your HQ every 2 minutes, and 0.5 per kill inside a zone you control.
  3. 5.3Spend points on the upgrade tree in the Upgrades tab, or use /faction unlock <upgradeID> (member slots, territory cap, and more).
  4. 5.4Weekly competition: factions earn 10 points per capture and 1 per minute held. Top 3 win cash: 1st $1,000,000, 2nd $500,000, 3rd $250,000. Standings are in the Ranking tab, where VIP+ owned factions get a crown.
  5. 5.5Emblem: /faction logourl <url> sets an image, /faction logo <colorIndex> a fallback color.
  6. 5.6/faction outlines <1|0> shows or hides green outlines on teammates.
  7. 5.7/fc <message> is faction-only chat, colored to your faction's color.
6. VIP & VIP+ Perks

VIP and VIP+ are premium supporter ranks. VIP+ includes everything VIP gets, only better. All perks apply automatically while you play; there are no commands to activate them.

7. Personal Alerts & HUD

These are per-player, saved on your machine, and off by default. They don't affect anyone else.

No commands needed. The faction menu's Settings section has a Personal Preferences area covering all of this: points HUD on/off and position, attack-alert volume, sound (with a preview button) and interval. The commands below still work if you prefer typing.

In the Tab menu. The full XP menu lives inside the Tab menu as its own page. The Factions tab opens as an at-a-glance summary (bank, members, territory, wars and live capture state); Open Full Menu expands it into the complete faction menu right there, and its Close brings the summary back.

9. Tips & FAQ
  1. 9.1"How do I get rich early?" Collect your printers (XP and the Printer Tech bonus), join or make a faction, and hold territory for passive income. Grab Idle Stipend and Investor so you earn while you play.
  2. 9.2"What's the fastest way to level?" Run an XP booster: it doubles every source at once. Check /xp then Boosts for tokens you already have, buy more in /rewards, and grab the free Discord and Steam group rewards while you're there. Boosters stack with a server-wide event for 4x.
  3. 9.3"What's the rubbish lying around the map?" Pick it up and drop it in a bin for $20 a piece. It's small money but costs nothing to start, and the Salvager perk takes it to $44 a piece at Tier III. The recycler machine is separate: feed it entities for a refund, or roll for a random cash or weapon drop.
  4. 9.4"Do my perks come back after I prestige?" No. Prestige wipes your level and perks. You re-earn skill points as you climb, and keep a permanent +2% XP per prestige plus the badge.
  5. 9.5"Why can't I capture that point?" You need to be at war with the owner, and you have to hold the circle. Points are also locked for 5 minutes after they flip.
  6. 9.6"Someone took my point!" Retake it. Defending pays $5,000 for every minute they held it.
  7. 9.7"Why does my point say SEIZED?" The police neutralized it. No faction holds it now and it's locked for 10 minutes. Defend your turf from cops too: an owner standing in the zone blocks the seizure just like it blocks a capture.
  8. 9.8"Can I join two factions?" No, and leaving has a 15-minute cooldown before you can join a new one (shorter for VIP and VIP+).
  9. 9.9"What do I get for VIP / VIP+?" Bigger salary, cheaper respec and prestige, cheaper faction creation, shorter cooldowns, and a colored chat name. VIP+ faction owners also get faster manufacturing, extra slots, and a leaderboard crown. Full list in section 6.
  10. 9.10"The attack alerts are annoying / I can't hear them." Off by default. /faction volume controls them. Bump it up to hear them, or 0 to silence.

This guide reflects the current DankRP build. Numbers may be tuned over time.

Almost everything is done in-game through /xp and /faction. The commands just mirror those menus.
