General Rules

1. Have common sense; understanding another player's or staff member's perspective is a vital part of enjoying your time on the server. Please contact a staff member if you have any doubts relating to rules, gameplay, or anything involving the server and its community. 

2. Metagaming, the use of outside information you normally wouldn't have in roleplay, is not allowed. (This includes utilizing information received outside the server, defending a party member you didn’t witness being damaged, killing raiders you did not see or realize raided you)

3. You should not spam any prop, entity, swep or placeable game object (guns included).

4. Racism, sexism, antisemitism, homophobia, or hate speech of any kind is not allowed within the community. For example, directly insulting somebody's race, color or creed, creating media/constructions with hateful messages regarding somebody's race, color or creed, etc..

5. Illegal or malicious activities within the community is not allowed.

6. Using alternate (alt) accounts to access the community in any way is disallowed.

7. Threats such as DDoS and Doxing towards the community or anyone within the community are taken very seriously and are not allowed and will result in a permanent removal from the community. Leaking of information with the malicious intent of distributing names, emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, or pictures of anyone is not allowed. You cannot release personal info of your own, either.

8. Harassment of players in order to annoy or disrupt their roleplay is not allowed. Actions which can be considered harassment can include but are not limited to: following a player around without a valid roleplay reason and annoying them after clear warnings to stop, consistently placing props/items and moving them in front/inside of players, or use of text or LED screens in an offensive way towards another player.

    8.1. Do not attempt to waste the staff’s time. For example, god-checks, false reports, or intervening in an ongoing sit.

9. Hacking, abusing exploits, or using 3rd party programs to gain an advantage over other players is not allowed.

10. You may not abuse loopholes in the rules. For example, a player builds a base with a multi-layered design so that the same door would have to be cracked more than once (only 3 doors, technically.) This would not be allowed.

11. RDM is not allowed. This is the killing of other players without a valid roleplay reason. (Random Deathmatch)

12. RDA is not allowed. You must have a valid reason to arrest another player. (Random Arrest)

13. Leaving the server to avoid staff punishment (LTAP) is not allowed. 

14. Do not spam in Text Chat or Voice Over IP.

    14.1. Hobo classes are exempt from “Micspam”. “Earrape” audios are never allowed.

15. English is the server's primary language, and is the only language allowed in OOC or Advert chat. (Conversations in other languages may be held with agreeing parties.)

16. Vote demoting other players while there is staff online is disallowed. If there are no staff online and you must demote a player, said player being vote demoted must be breaking their jobs rules.

17. No using small player models on purpose in a PvP setting

18. You may not use a Tac Insert to respawn during a raid and fight again, you must spectate and treat it as normal NLR. Breaking this rule will be treated NLR violation and you will be warned. 

Building Rules

Prop

1. Prop-Mingeing is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, Prop Climbing, Prop Spamming, Prop Blocking, Prop Shielding, Prop Killing, Prop Flying, Prop Glitching, Placing props in player’s bases, Spamming prop noise/screen-shake, etc.

2. Placing/moving cameras inside a property you do not own is disallowed.

Basing

3. You may not build in a way that blocks access to any unique NPC's or entities that are important for a job.

4. Players must be able to freely access any public area of the map.

5. Maze Base Designs are Not Allowed. (Bases with long pathways that use the time it takes to get from door to door as the main defense. You also are limited to 3 turns MAX when entering the base, none of the left then right bullshit)

6. Kill Base Designs are Not Allowed. (Bases that impede the raider(s) ability to move throughout the base/pathways that impede/limit the raider(s) ability to navigate..)

7. Abusing fading doors by toggling a keypad, button, or key-bind before the hold length is up is not allowed.

8. All entry/exit fading doors must have a keypad that is clearly identifiable for that door.

9. Fake or deceptive keypads are not allowed in base designs.

10. A base can have a maximum of 3 fading doors before reaching the raidables.

11. Each keypad must have a hold length of five seconds minimum, with no initial delay.

12. A base must be designed in a way where both parties can clearly see and shoot at one another during a raid. (World Glow Glitch props are allowed if not abused in this manner.Use common sense, if you're always hidden from the attacker until it's too late, no.)

13. The space between two keypad doors must be enough space to fit at least 2 people.

14. All fading doors utilizing buttons must be put on toggle mode.

15. Shooting Windows must have a minimum precision width and height of 25. For reference, use "models/hunter/plates/plate05x1.mdl" as a basis.

16. The use of No-Collided props in a defensive or offensive manner is not allowed. (Example: Clipping half-way through a no collided prop to impede a raiders ability to shoot you.)

17. Bases that use Angled Shooting Blinds are Not Allowed. Angled Shooting Blinds are classed as any window/peek in which you are unfairly elevated or lowered in the raider's perspective. Both parties must have a direct view of one another.

18. Base Designs that require the raider to jump or crouch to gain entry are not allowed.

19. Constructions/bases that block out the sky, or are in any way unnecessarily large, are not allowed.

20. Base Designs that make use of underwater segments of the map are not allowed.

21. Blackout/Texturized Base Designs that impede a raiders ability to navigate are not allowed.

22. Bases designed in a Tunnel must have an open pathway width of at least 160.

23. Base designs may not make use of fake entrances.

24. If building on a rooftop, you must own all doors inside of the base connected to said roof.

Property Sign Rules

1. There are 3 allowed sign types.

    1.1.KOS Sign (Used to show that entering a specified area makes you kill on sight. You may not create a KOS sign to specific jobs/roles/categories, or has arbitrary reasons like "KOS if unwanted", "KOS if loitering"(without a clear indication of the area). You cannot create a legal KOS sign and only target protected reasons as a circumvention.

    1.2. Building Sign (Used to show there are no raidables inside the base and the base is still under construction. Buildings with this Sign are to be considered under KOS as well.)

    1.3. RP Base (Used to show there are no raidables in the base, even when the base is done being built. Used only for Roleplaying purposes, bases with this sign can't be raided but may put up a KOS Sign [refer to 1.1].)

2. KOS/Building signs must be Size 50 or above.

3. KOS/Building Signs are not allowed to be blended into the background of whatever they are being placed on.

4. KOS/Building Signs must be easily visible, at all entrances to a base.

Roleplay Rules

1. Your roleplay name should not contain anything offensive and must be easily typed on a US keyboard.

NLR

2. Dying due to a valid roleplay reason triggers NLR (New Life Rule) which lasts for 5 minutes.

    2.1. Taking revenge on someone who killed you in your previous life is not allowed even after NLR.

    2.2. You may not return to the same area you died at while NLR is active or if the situation that led to your death is still ongoing.

3. Shooting at or destroying a player's property without a valid roleplay reason is not allowed.

    3.1. If you wish to steal or damage an item, you should advert “steal”.

4. Attempting to evade an ongoing roleplay situation you are a part of (LTARP) is not allowed.

    4.1. Disconnecting/Switching Jobs/Kill binding/etc. to avoid RP events is not allowed (RP events include Raids, Kidnaps, Muggings, Capturing Territories, etc.)

5. Spawn is a no-roleplay zone. You may not enter spawn to avoid a roleplay situation. Spawn encompasses the area you spawn in as well as the sidewalk attached to it.

6. You may not scam players out of in-game item(s). You may not scam players within the community for real money/items or store packages.

7. Fear roleplay (FearRP) does not exist in this environment. If you are held at gunpoint, it is your call if you want to fight and die or submit and survive.

8. Spam opening doors or other objects in order to annoy or block players is not allowed.

    8.1. You may not bodyblock any area of the map.

9. Making changes to your base during a raid is Not Allowed.

    9.1. The use of key-binds during a raid is Not Allowed.

10. All mugs must be adverted and started in front of the victim's view with the amount clearly stated.

    10.1. The maximum you can mug for is $25,000.

    10.2. The mugger must give the person being mugged at least 5 seconds to react before killing the person.

    10.3. You must wait 5 minutes between mugs. You must wait 15 minutes before mugging the same player again.

    10.4. If the player complies with your demands, you may not kill them.

11. As any job, if you are being bothered/harassed by another player following you, you can advert Warn.

    11.1. If you advert a warn to a player 3 times, you are allowed to kill/arrest them.

    11.2. If the player you are warning makes an active effort to avoid you, stops following you, goes away, ceases the behavior that warranted a warning, etc. you may not kill them.

    11.3. Each warning must have 3 seconds between each advert.

12. If you are being warned by another player, you are not allowed to fight back until you are damaged.

13. Properly adverted warnings remain in effect for 30 seconds after being given. (If you warn someone to go away and they go away and return within 30 seconds you may act again on the same set of 3 warns)

14. All raids must be adverted, and assisting raiders must do "/advert Assist". (Raiders must be making an active effort to raid)

    14.1. Raids on door-group buildings must be clearly stated. They must not be mixed in with other adverts. (PD RAID, BANK RAID, HOTEL RAID)

    14.2. The cooldown for raiding is 5 minutes for different bases. (20 minutes for the same base).

    14.3. All raids must be started directly in front of an entrance to the building.

    14.4. Raids can only last a maximum of 20 minutes from the advert and 5 minutes after bypassing defenses.

    14.5. All raiders must advert “over” when they are finished raiding. (Raids are completed when the raider leaves the building, dies, or the time allotted for the raid has passed).

    14.6. In order to counter an ongoing raid, you should do "/advert Counter".

15. You may counter crimes as any job (Raiding, Mugging, Kidnapping, Stealing, etc.) but you must advert “counter”.

16. You may not use the one paunch swep in a normal PvP manner other than omniman/invincible is here. You may also not use the 500 HP to your advantage i.e defending a point as omniman

17. You must advert /carjack when stealing a players car

Government

16. As a government, you must follow and enforce the laws. You are to protect citizens and other government officials. Only the government may enforce the law.

    16.1. As any Government class, you may not betray other Government classes in any way.

    16.2. As law enforcement, there is a distinct difference between an arrestable offense and a killable offense. Killable Offense: Any crime that puts the lives of you or your fellow officers/citizens at risk. Arrestable Offense: Any crime where you and your fellow officers/citizens are not in immediate risk.

17. The following types of laws are not allowed.

    17.1. Laws that invoke KOS punishments.

    17.2. Laws that punish any sort of mobility (jumping, strafing, walking backwards, etc.).

    17.3. Laws that inhibit the flow of normal roleplay. (i.e purge laws, laws that target appearances, laws that target specific players).

    17.4. Laws that break or encourage the breaking of a server rule, or override a default law.

18. As the Mayor, you may only demote Police for breaking job rules.

19. The Mayor himself counts as a raidable.

    19.1. Once the mayor has been killed, any ongoing RP situations (pd raids) is over.

20. Lockdowns can last no longer than 20 minutes at a time.

21. As the mayor, you must advert an RP sensible reason for your lockdown. In order for a Mayor's police force to act upon it they should wait 1 minute after the Mayor has announced the lockdown.

22. Warrants must have a valid RP reason (breaking the law.).

23. Illegal items found by the government must be confiscated using the ‘confiscate baton’ or shot and destroyed. Government officials may not claim any kind of reward from collecting from/selling said illegal items.

24. You must not block the PD lobby doors in any way. During a lockdown, Civilians (including the homeless) may safely seek shelter inside the PD lobby.

Job Rules

Kidnappers

1. Kidnappers must advert "kidnap" to kidnap another player.

    1.1. The maximum ransom for a kidnap is $100,000.

    1.2. Once the victim has been placed in cuffs, the kidnap may only last up to 15 minutes. At the end of that period, the kidnapper may choose whether to kill or release the victim.

    1.3. You must wait 5 minutes in-between kidnappings.

2. You may only kill the kidnapper if:

    2.1. They are kidnapping you. (Self defense.)

    2.2. They are kidnapping a gang member of a gang which you are apart of. (Gang defense.)

    2.3. They are kidnapping a member of your party. (Party defense.)

3. Kidnappers may only be in a party with other Kidnapper class jobs.

Hitmen

4. Hitman classes are not allowed to be in a !party.

5. Hitmen may raid bases (advert “Hit Raid”) to get to their hit, but may not steal or harm items inside said base. Hitmen may not assist in raids unless their hit target is inside the base being raided. You must only kill your target and anyone defending the victim's base.

6. Hitmen must wait 10 minutes before accepting a hit on the same player. Players should not place hits on the same person in the span of 5 minutes.

Miscellaneous Rules

1. You must advert "Kill me" if you want a player to kill you. Attempting to bait players that do not know this rule into killing you is not allowed.

2. Crossfire/misclick is not a valid advert.

3. Multi adverts are not allowed and will be treated like you didn't advert at all. (Examples include: “raid/mug/kidnap” “raid/pdraid/bankraid” “kidnap or maybe not” “raid / assist / counter”

4. Adverts must only be used for RP reasons (Raids, Advertising a Business, Mugging, etc.)

5. You are not allowed to raid members of your own party.

6. The mayor must not respawn upon death.

7. Government jobs may not base outside of their respective doorgroup. (Cops in PD, Banker in Bank, except for RP bases)

    7.1. Government Jobs may not party with criminal/custom classes.

8. Hobos may not own a building or party with non Hobos.

9. RP Jobs with a non-humanoid or differently-sized (compared to Citizen model) hitbox (chicken, dog) can not defend bases, steal, etc. You may place printers in a friend’s base but cannot defend if raided.

10. Refusal to get off a Piano when requested by the owner is not allowed.

11. All bases must have proper support be it physical or roleplay-based. (I.e no random floating bases)

12. Players may not have more than one RP base and one base containing raidables.

    12.1. The owner of a base is the individual who owns the main doors (front, street-facing, sewer facing, etc).

13. A-Train is allowed to counter any criminal activity without cooldown. Must use /advert counter. A-Train may RDM one random player nearby to said counter every 30 minutes but must advert oopsies daisy after. 

14. You may not votekick or voteban if a staff member is online
